The PCD Educational Seminar Series is designed for End Users, System Integrators and Engineers to gain a working understanding of various products that Process Control Dynamics, Inc/PCD Sales, Inc. represents.    During each seminar we will cover a specific product line, discuss the underlying technologies utilized, and work with hands on labs to cover the basic configuration/operation of the product(s) being covered.

PCD-ESS-101 - FreeWave Radios  - Utilizing 900 Mhz Spread Spectrum Technologies with FreeWave Radios

 

Basic Radio Programming
Learn how to configure each radio setting and the affect each setting has on radio performance. Additionally, you will create a simple network and configure radios using Hyperterminal and FreeWave's configuration software EZ Config.
 

Network Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
Learn how to use CommControl and the diagnostic tools available in EZ Config. We will identify basic troubleshooting steps and then apply them in an exercise where you will troubleshoot problematic networks.
 

Wireless IO
Learn the proper application of the FGRIO family of radios including how to program the IO Master and IO Slave.

 

Modbus IO
Learn the proper application of the Modbus version of the FGRIO family of radios including how to program the Modbus Master and IO Slave, and how to utilize the Register Map to read and write values.
 

HTplus
Learn the proper application of the Plus family of radios including how to program the HT+ via a web browser and how to build a high speed backbone.

Duration:  1 day (8 hours)     

Time:  8:00am to 4:00pm

Maximum Class Size:  25 people

Prerequisites:  Basic Familiarity with Radio Communications
